Matthew B. Pinckney Associate
Matthew Pinckney's practice includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications, particularly those related to microprocessors and semiconductor manufacturing techniques, as well as power systems, medical devices and software.
Prior to becoming an associate at Hoffman Warnick LLC, Mr. Pinckney worked as a law clerk at the firm, preparing patent applications and prosecuting pending cases. He also served as a summer law clerk for the Hon. Lawrence E. Kahn, Senior U.S. District Judge of the Northern District of New York, drafting opinions and conducting research. Additional experience includes a full-semester extern position in the intellectual property department of the Bose Corporation, where Mr. Pinckney prepared and prosecuted patent applications, as well as prepared patentability and freedom-to-practice opinions relating to audio systems and signal processing systems. Mr. Pinckney also assisted in obtaining United States Trademark No. 3497786 for Bose's Black-and-White Headphone Cords.
Mr. Pinckney is a frequent speaker and ambassador for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Northeast New York, and recently served as the honorary spokesman for the 2009 Adopt-An-Angel campaign.
